Bilingual Rock Immersion School (BRIS) is an innovative language program serving the northern suburbs of Chicago.
The immersion program at BRIS provides the opportunity for students to immerse in the adventure of Mandarin Chinese language learning. Students will engage in the target language through the study of math, science, language arts, and Chinese culture. We believe learning Mandarin Chinese will give your child(ren) a competitive advantage in the 21st century marketplace, a greater appreciation for other cultures, enhance mental development, as well as supporting native and adopted Chinese children to their Chinese heritage. All classes are conducted entirely in the target language and led by fluent and proficient language teachers to help students build their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Mandarin. Teachers use body language, visuals, manipulatives, exaggerated facial expressions, and expressive intonation to develop language skills and communication.
