Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How do teachers accommodate a range of language abilities in the same class? (e.g., a child who is a beginner versus a child who speaks the target language at home?)

A: After a pre-assessment from the first class, students will be divided into small groups. Differentiate instruction will be given during small group activities, such as guided reading. Our small class sizes also allow teachers to differentiate instruction and provide personalized attention and support.

Q: How can I best help my child at home if I don't speak Mandarin?

A: You do not need to speak the target language to be supportive of your child's learning. Helpful videos, useful website links, etc will be uploaded on our website or will be emailed to you to help your child review lessons. Encouraging your child to ask questions in class, and reaching out to your child's teacher via email for further clarification are all useful avenues for support.
